We left Astoria and headed south. First we stopped at Ft. Stevens that guarded the mouth of the Columbia from the Civil War to WWII.

Then we stopped by a nearby beach where a shipwreck occured in 1906, detailed in an old book I have "Shipwrecks of the Pacific Northwest".

We enjoyed the coastal scenery as we made our way to Tillamook
