The second day we drove along the north side of the Columbia River from Lonview to Long Beach. On the way we found the last covered bridge in use in the US.

Longbeach claims to be the longest beach in the world. This is a very busy beach community and typically northwest - cold, rainy and windy.

Finally we crossed this over 4 mile bridge across the mouth of the Columbia River. This view looks back at the Washington side from Astoria.
